Community Theater in Midcoast Maine
Watts Hall Community Players is a non-profit theater group that serves the needs and interests of audiences and performers in midcoast Maine. Watts Hall Community Players presents one main-stage, musical production each summer as well as bringing smaller productions and events to the hall and downtown Thomaston throughout the year.
Summer Musical Productions
The summer musicals chosen by Watts Hall Community Players are family-friendly and involve a larger, multi-generational cast. In addition to acting, singing, and moving on-stage, community theater members are welcome to join in painting the set, sewing costumes, and bringing other talents to the production.
Part of the heart and history of Thomaston, Maine.
Watts Hall was donated to the town of Thomaston in 1890 by Samuel Watts and after it burned in 1915, Samuel’s daughter assisted with the rebuild. The Hall is home to Watts Hall Community Players and is now stewarded by the newly formed Watts Hall Community Arts. A few local businesses also rent space on the ground and basement levels.
